This week on the blog, we chatted up South Loop activities and learned more about the residents at Roosevelt Collection.
Over the month of May, Chicagoans have a rare opportunity to view the artwork of Columbia College students at the Glass Curtain Gallery, where Masters of Fine Arts photography candidates exhibit their thesis projects. In addition, South Loop’s Fitness Formula Club hosted a “Day of Luxury” in honor of Mother’s Day featuring complimentary spa services.
Roosevelt Collection General Manager Amy Boduch dropped in to say hello and give residents a renovation update. We wrapped up the week helping our residents get to know their neighbors better with a Tenant Talk post on Erika J. Jordan, the Event Ambassador and avid traveler.

This week, Simply Magnificent featured the Showcase of Homes at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Chicago. Five ultra-luxury residences are decorated by leading interior designers from the US, London and Spain in their own distinctive style. Next, we published a post on the current exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. On display are five exhibitions including Rashid Johnson’s Message to Our Folks, This Will Have Been, Phantom Limb, Martin Creed and Molly Zuckerman-Hartung. Enjoy a beautiful spring day in Chicago’s gorgeous downtown with a visit to the MCA.
Finally, we spotlighted the Roy Lichtenstein Opening Gala at the Art Institute of Chicago. The Windy City kicks off the world tour of Roy Lichtenstein: A Retrospective, the most comprehensive exhibition ever devoted to Lichtenstein, featuring more than 160 works. To celebrate the opening, the Woman’s Board will host an Opening Gala and After Party in the museum’s Modern Wing.

The Seen – Official blog for EXPO CHICAGO
This week, The Seen took a trip to Paris to visit La Maison Rouge’s outstanding exhibition, Néon, Who’s afraid of red, yellow and blue? A hundred years after its invention by French chemist Georges Claude, this retrospective explores the use of neon in 108 works by 83 artists from the 1940s through today.
Next, The Seen takes you to Madrid to visit Galería Max Estrella. Max Estrella presents an impressive group show, entitled Walk the Line. The theme of the exhibition is balance: finding or reaching equilibrium. Max Estrella is an exhibiting gallery for EXPO CHICAGO’s September debut.
Finally, we explored Atlanta’s Get This! Gallery, featuring Ben Roosevelt’s exhibition The Blue Flame. This show is the artist’s interpretation of a dream in which he recalls memories in incredible detail of a night at a bar called The Blue Flame.
