Otherwise is excited to launch the new website that we designed and developed for Chicago Lakeside Development, a joint venture between McCaffery Interests and United States Steel Corporation. As an active hub of content, the site serves as the go-to resource for Lakeside.

Lakeside represents the vision for an innovative 21^st century community on the land occupied by the former U.S. Steel South Works plant site. Adjacent to Chicago’s South Side neighborhood, Lakeside is a nearly 600-acre parcel of land that includes a revolutionary approach to public infrastructure, access to the lakefront, and expansive public transportation – all of which will be surrounded by residential, retail and commercial space, a new high school and a 1,500 slip marina. The project will take an estimated 25-45 years to reach completion.

Through narrative, photographic and illustrative content, the website illuminates the Lakeside brand as the global initiative for innovative, 21^st century urban living and a catalyst for a renewed Chicago. It also conveys the game-changing magnitude of this project and presents opportunities for community and strategic local business partners to become involved.
