This week on The Seen, we featured Jessica Stockholder’s new public art installation, Color Jam. Color Jam is a three-dimensional painting that covers the streets, buildings and crosswalks surrounding State and Adams. Chicago’s largest art piece, this work provides a canvas of bold colors that people can walk on, in and through.
Next, we spotlighted Turon Travel, an EXPO CHICAGO partner. This September, the international art community will arrive in Chicago for EXPO CHICAGO’s 2012 debut. Turon Travel specializes in customized travel arrangements and accommodations for worldwide art events.
Finally, EXPO CHICAGO announced their Chefs’ Café led by world-renowned restaurateur Michael Kornick. Envisioned by an eclectic blend of chefs including Graham Elliot, Ryan Poli, Patricio Sandoval and Randy Zweiban, all under the skilled leadership and vision of Kornick, the Chefs’ Café will provide visitors with a unique dining experience.
This week on Simply Magnificent, we featured a guide to the top art exhibitions in Chicago for July 2012. On view in the city are incredible shows at Kavi Gupta Gallery, The Mission and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
Next, we spotlighted the Chicago Yacht Club. Anchored in two separate harbors, the Chicago Yacht Club enjoys some of the best views of both the city and the lake.
