Together with the MCA, EXPO CHICAGO will launch the fair with the return of Vernissage, an exclusive opening night preview celebration that for many years was a highlight of the city’s social and cultural calendar.

Next, we featured the approaching deadline for Artadia Awards 2012. Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue and EXPO CHICAGO are partnering to promote the work of Chicago-based artists as part of the 2012 awards cycle.

Simply Magnificent – Official blog for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Chicago

This week on Simply Magnificent, we published a neighborhood guide to theater in Chicago. The Chicago theater scene holds an international reputation for incredible talent, passion and performances.  Theaters range from cutting-edge neighborhood playhouses to world-class downtown venues. On stage now are incredible shows at Steppenwolf, Lookingglass Theater and the Broadway Playhouse.

Next, we featured Italian dining at Pelago Ristorante. One block east of Michigan Avenue you can find Pelago, a little slice of Italy nestled in the Hotel Raffaello. Chef Mauro Mafrici and his wife Kimberly host this upscale contemporary Italian restaurant, a beautiful escape from the busy downtown streets offering exquisite food and genuine flavors.

Finally, we uncovered a few of Chicago’s top coffee shops. Hidden gems in Bucktown and Wicker Park include Ipsento, The Wormhole and Buzz Kill Espresso. These coffee houses are favorites of the locals, serving the very best in handcrafted, signature beverages.
